Who Is Behind Best Friend Pet Services?
My name is Sharon Paetz, and I am the Owner and Operations Manager of Best Friend Pet Services. I enjoy personally connecting with all of our clients to ensure they are receiving only the best care and service in the industry. I have a business background and experience with a wide variety of pets, both of which help me to understand my clients and their furry friends’ needs. I like to stay current on dog behaviour and practices through reading and attending courses to best understand and care for our furry and feathered clients.
Running BFPS and being able to help clients with their pets when they are working, travelling or attending a special event has been one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences of my life.
Why Was Best Friend Pet Services Started?
I have always been drawn to helping people and animals, and I always felt torn leaving my own dogs at home while I worked. Between those things and a life-long desire to work in the pet industry, the idea of being a dog walker and pet sitter was born.
BFPS was originally started by Elaine Ho in July 2013, along with her dog, Tango. In May 2014, I left the wonderful world of banking after fortuitously coming across her ad for a dog walker and business partner, and in September 2014 I took the business over from her. What Do We Offer Our Clients?
One of the most important things to us is to provide the same level of care to your pets that we would give to our own. We get to know you and your pet, so that we can offer individualized and tailored services.
What Makes Us Different From Other Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Companies?
BFPS has a small, dedicated team of pet enthusiasts who not only love working with animals but are good at it. Each team member adheres the high level of professionalism, service and caring that our clients have grown accustomed to.
In addition to that:
Your pet will have its own small team of one, two or even three caregivers to ensure there is never any disruption of service. You don’t have to worry about your dog walker calling in sick or your pet sitter going away on vacation at the same time you are. We are available 365 days of the year.
We always leave updates, so you know how your pet’s walk, visit or stay went. Everything is electronically tracked so that you know, and we know, that your services have been completed as requested and for the length of time requested.
Your information and your pet’s schedule are kept secure and is accessed via a password-protected app on your pet sitter’s smartphone, so your personal details or alarm codes won’t inadvertently fall into the wrong hands.
All of our pet sitters and dog walkers have police checks and are licensed and insured, so you can have peace of mind when you are not at home.
